Almost any Geospect software issue can be fixed by going through setup and repairing Geospect. There are two things that are important to remember when repairing Geospect:

1. Everything will revert back to its original state, so make sure you write down, COM port settings, drill pipe and casing sizes, calibration settings, etc.

2. You will see a message that recommends you keep the existing file because "the version being copied is older." You should select "NO TO ALL".

In case you are wondering why you would select "no to all" it is because Geospect is constantly updating itself, which makes the corrupted file appear to be the newest version, when in fact, that is the file you want to replace.
