We use 50u=1% Methane
We have used this since we started up our company in 2006 and even before that with our previous employer. Neither the company man or the geologist has ever asked us how our system is calibrated... they just care if we are getting a reading.
I have to agree with you WestTxWellsite there are a lot of oddballs out there... My previous employer kept on sending me night hands that had 10+ years of experience and I (3 yrs of exp at the time) had to show them how to rig up and set up the computers properly... there's just some guys that don't belong out here...
